Citation coverage
The original 236-record bibliography is retained. 235 citations have identified original records: 225 PubMed citations and 10 additional journal / DOI records. 217 have a DOI. A DOI-only record is not presented as a PubMed record.
The initial pass compared titles, first authors and years against MED records in Europe PMC. The continuation reviewed shortened titles, historical journal articles and publisher records. Original supplied titles and authors are retained; source titles and authors are separately available. Publication year means the original issue year, not a later archive upload date.
Author institutions
219 records have explicit author-affiliation evidence, covering 154 institution labels. These come from indexed affiliations or article-level publisher information; any separately consulted affiliation source is linked in the result. Original source wording and spelling aliases are retained. No assignment is made from a current author profile, an email address or a private address.
Institutions can be universities, hospitals, companies, laboratories or research agencies. One publication may appear under several. Older indexing often records only the first author’s institution, so this is not a complete list of participants or an endorsement of BHOC.

Species and models
Species labels use indexed MeSH headings and explicit title words, with source-backed manual checks where stated. They are discovery labels, not a complete study-design assessment. A paper can appear in several groups. The exotic group combines ferret, rabbit and other-animal labels; Other / In vitro includes unlabelled records. Guinea pigs are classified as rodents; four false Porcine tags caused by a previous text-matching rule were removed.
Some labels describe sample material rather than the treated subject. For example, a canine-plasma assay can carry both Canine and In vitro. Human research and reviews provide wider context and are not veterinary approvals.
Journals and authors
Journal metrics count distinct stored labels; full names and abbreviations have not been merged. Author suggestions reproduce names in article metadata and do not resolve every spelling variant or identify distinct people. Author, institution, species, year and confirmed-location filters can be combined.
Remaining gaps
